Register Today90 Minutes (60 Skills- 30 Application of Skill)
Classes are either 3 weeks ($83) or 4 weeks ($111) depending on the schedule and we offer girls and boys class. The topics listed are rotated during the year. No Makeup sessions are scheduled for the classes.
One vs. One:
Players will train to improve their ability to take on players with the ball with speed, control, and confidence. Trainers will focus on a player’s capacity to dribble the ball with the necessary speed, change direction quickly and be explosive when attacking space. Players will develop the ability to stay composed under pressure and maintain possession in tight spaces through ball movement, body positioning, and creativity. In addition, players will improve their defensive skills by focusing on their angle of approach, balance, aggressiveness, timing and ability to anticipate the play.
Finishing:
In this program players will train to develop their technique when striking the ball with different parts of the foot to improve their accuracy and ability to manipulate the path of the ball to beat a goalkeeper. In addition, players will learn to recognize scoring opportunities and decide on the easiest method of scoring a goal. Combined with drills to emphasize power, speed, and anticipation, a player will gain the tools necessary to be an effective goal scorer for their team.
Passing and Receiving:
For a player to be a great distributor, they need to be able to play the ball using both feet and utilize different surfaces and parts of the body. Players who only pass using the inside of the feet are much more predictable and easy to read for defenders. In this program, players will learn how to pass the ball using different lofts, bends, spin and pace and create more options for their team. In addition, players will be trained on how to receive the ball with different parts of the body on the ground and from the air. With a focus on body positioning, balance, and anticipation players will learn how to bring the ball under control in game like situations. Not only will players improve their first touch, but they’ll learn how to use their first touch to set themselves up for their next move.
